Event Details

The Talking Stick Festival showcases and celebrates Indigenous art and performance to a wider audience. From its humble beginnings, this unique and exciting event has grown into a full 2-week Festival held annually in February at locations across Vancouver. Now attracting over 18,000 attendees each year and still growing, its is one of the premier, multi-disciplinary Indigenous arts festival in North America.

Appealling to Indigenous and non-Indigenous attendees alike, our programming focuses on the diversity of Visual Arts, Dance, Theatre, Music, Pow Wow and Film in both traditional and contemporary formats.
This year’s #TSF2018 theme is Schayilhen (S-ch-eye-yay-lh-un), which translates literally to “Salmon going up.”  Figuratively, it means salmon going up the stream to spawn and to sacrifice them for us to eat.
We welcome you to join our circle and look forward to having you come along on our cultural journey for 2018. Stay up to date and be apart of our circle on social media.
