Truth and Reconciliation Day: Family Events Across Metro Vancouver

Tomorrow marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a meaningful opportunity for families across Metro Vancouver to come together, learn, and honor the survivors of residential schools and the children who never returned home. This day isn’t just about remembering the past—it’s about understanding our shared history and taking steps toward healing and reconciliation as a community.

Whether you’re looking for hands-on activities for your kids, cultural performances that bring Indigenous traditions to life, or quiet moments for reflection, there are beautiful, educational events happening across the Lower Mainland that welcome families. Many feature Indigenous storytelling, traditional drumming, art-making, and opportunities to connect with local Indigenous communities. Best of all, most are free or pay-what-you-can, making them accessible for everyone.
