Help Kids Access Free Arts Education – Arts Umbrella Fundraiser

As moms, we all want to see our children thrive—creatively, emotionally, and socially. That’s why organizations like Arts Umbrella hold such a special place in our community. For over 40 years, this Vancouver-based not-for-profit has empowered children and youth through the arts, helping them find their voice, build confidence, and explore who they are.

This spring, Arts Umbrella is inviting you—moms, families, and friends—to be a part of something deeply meaningful: their 2025 “Did You Know” Fundraising Campaign.

Why This Campaign Matters

Here’s something not many people know: while Arts Umbrella is a recognized leader in arts education, nearly 75% of their students access programs at no cost, thanks entirely to the generosity of donors. That’s thousands of children and teens—many from underrepresented or underserved communities—who are discovering their passion and potential through music, dance, theatre, and visual arts.

In 2023/24 alone:

  • 14,544 students participated in Arts Umbrella programming for free
  • 545+ bursaries and scholarships were awarded to young learners
  • 6,734 children and youth were reached through partnerships with over 110 community organizations
  • 70+ public schools benefited from no-cost Arts Umbrella programs
  • The Northern Arts Connection reached 183 students across remote communities in Ontario, Yukon, Saskatchewan, and Nunavut

Whether your child is two or twenty-two, Arts Umbrella offers opportunities that span the full spectrum of growth—from early learning parent-and-me classes to pre-professional dance training.

Why Moms Love Arts Umbrella

We’ve seen it ourselves—our kids coming home inspired, buzzing with energy, and excited to share what they’ve learned in class. Arts Umbrella believes in nurturing the whole child through whole-self learning. Their programs are thoughtfully designed not just to teach technique, but to help kids explore their identity, emotions, and ideas in a safe, inclusive environment.

It’s not just art. It’s transformation.

Arts Education: More Than a Class

This campaign is a heartfelt reminder that art has the power to shape young lives. For many families, the opportunity to enroll their child in an enriching, professional-grade arts program would not be possible without donor-funded support. That’s why your involvement—whether through donations, attending shows, or simply sharing this campaign with a friend—matters more than you know.

Let’s continue to build a community where every child has the chance to shine creatively, regardless of their background.
