On October 3, 2012 VancouverMom.ca joined forced with our friends at Modern Mama and Entrepreneur Mom Now Vancouver to present Leading Moms. It was a day of inspiration, featuring moms who are making a difference in the arts, fashion, culture, business, science, media, politics and a whole lot of other areas. We saw talks, videos, musical performances and fashion show. We ate breakfast inside, and we ate lunch outside in the sunshine. We were energized and motivated by what we saw.

Dr. Gail Murphy
In addition to being a Vancouver mom, Dr. Gail Murphy is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. She also co-founded Tasktop Technologies Incorporated, where she serves as the Chief Scientific Officer. Her research and work centres around how to use technology to make us more productive. And really, what mom couldn’t use a little more productivity? Dr. Murphy puts this into practice herself, as she strives to manage a busy work and family life with her three sons. If you could use a little bit more organization and efficiency in your own life, you’ll want to check this video out for sure. Add it to the top of your to-do list pronto!
