Event Details

VANCOUVER, November 23, 2018
Vancouver’s Ultimate New Year’s Celebration—Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver—is back for its fourth consecutive year.

With over 100,000 attendees, Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver is a family-friendly and fully-inclusive celebration of the biggest night of the year, and includes both a free outdoor celebration at Jack Poole Plaza as well as an electric indoor party, held inside the beautiful Vancouver Convention Centre, with two tiers of tickets currently available for purchase.

“We couldn’t be happier to be able to throw another amazing party in the heart of the downtown core, and could not have done it without the help of our generous sponsors who truly believe in the inclusive, vibrant spirit of this event. This event is one of downtown Vancouver’s only free outdoor celebrations, and we plan on including even more interactive events for the public to enjoy, but we also have plenty of engaging activations lined up for the ticketed indoor party this year. It’s not to be missed,” said Dani Pretto, Chair of the Vancouver New Year’s Eve Celebration Society.

Concord Pacific Developments returns this year as the title sponsor of the event, which features the Concord Countdown Central indoor party concert stage playing live music all night long and interactive experiential art exhibits, outdoor DJ Entertainment, wacky live performers, and Vancouver’s finest food trucks.

“We’re so proud to support the greater Vancouver community and to return as the title sponsor for the fourth year in a row. The event has grown and evolved so much over the years. We can’t wait for all to experience the new activations in store along the waterfront and the fun for all ages programming at Concord’s Countdown Central in the convention centre,” said Matt Meehan, Senior Vice President of Concord Pacific Developments.

There will also be not one, but two amazing fireworks shows; one taking place at 9:00 p.m. for families with younger children who may nod off earlier and the grand finale happening at Midnight. The fireworks shows will be visible from the free outdoor viewing areas, but in order to watch from the comfort and warmth of an indoor venue, guests should purchase a ticket for the indoor celebration zone or for the VIP section, which will feature food, live music, and a complimentary glass of champagne.
