LDS is a BC-based nonprofit organization delivering Research-informed Individualized Student Education (RISE) programs to unique learners with suspected or diagnosed learning differences (including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, processing disorders, ADHD, ADD, ASD and more). For over 50 years, LDS has been providing exceptionally effective, accessible support to help students, aged 3 to adult, develop the tools to improve academic success and achieve lifelong independence and confidence.
LDS delivers its 17 comprehensive programs and services in multiple ways: at its Learning Centres in East Vancouver and North Vancouver, at a growing number of local schools, through camps, and virtually across Canada through the online adaptive RISE at Home learning platform. There is also LDS Access, its mobile classroom electric bus. LDS Access helps remove barriers to the individualized education every student with a learning difference needs and deserves by bringing RISE programs to local neighbourhoods. They also offer Family Coaching for parents and guardians looking for advice and ways to support and advocate for their children and learners.
