Part of the OriginO Kids’ Koncert series

One of the most famous of Canadian stories, author Roch Carrier’s short story The Hockey Sweater, set to music by Abigail Richardson, revolves around a childhood memory growing up in Québec.

In the heart of Montréal Canadiens territory, a young boy is given, to his horror, a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. In answering the question “how can I face my friends?” valuable life lessons are learned.

Come early to enjoy an instrument petting zoo hosted by the VSO’s Education department. The Instrument Fair allows kids to touch and play real orchestra instruments in the Orpheum lobby starting at 1pm. All instruments are generously provided by Tom Lee Music.

The VSO’s Origino Kids Koncerts series is for children four to eleven years of age and their families in five fun and educational musical presentations. The Kids’ Koncerts series features the full orchestra, and the very best in children’s musical entertainers.
