It’s time for the 6th annual Vancouver Family Biking Easter Bonnet Ride! Decorate your bike & your headgear for the season then meet us at Science World (we may add another meetup point along the route to the west if there’s demand) at 10am on Monday, April 22nd. Hang out for a bit, chat with other families, then we’ll leave at 10:30am.

The ride will be fairly slow paced–nobody gets left behind–along the seawall as well as some quiet streets. It will be about 45 minutes to an hour of riding one way. Children riding their own bikes are welcome! We will have several cargo bikes with extra space to carry/tow young kids & their bikes if they get tired.

Our destination is Jericho, where we will have a picnic. Please bring your own lunch & a water resistant blanket/tarp to sit on. After lunch, families are free to head home whenever they like. We usually end up going back in several smaller groups.

There are public washrooms at several locations along the route, as well as at our destination. Locarno Beach Concession is open but only in good weather.
