To celebrate Earth Day, Vancouverites are invited to start their spring cleaning by bringing their pre-loved clothing items to McArthurGlen Vancouver as part of the Recycle Your Fashion initiative starting Saturday, April 22nd. Guests who bring an item for donation will receive a 10% savings card to use at participating stores as a “thank you” for getting involved.
McArthurGlen Vancouver, in collaboration with Trans-Continental Textile Recycling, encourages fashion lovers to donate their unwanted items to be upcycled and re-used to help reduce the amount of apparel found in landfills and provide much needed clothing to developing countries. For those unable to visit the designer outlet on Earth Day, the Recycle Your Fashion initiative is ongoing, and clothing items will continue to be collected throughout the year.
More details about Recycle Your Fashion, including types of items to donate, can be found here.
Here’s how it works:
- Step 1 – Bring any pre-loved or unwanted clothing items to Guest Services at McArthurGlen Vancouver in Richmond on Earth Day (Saturday, April 22nd) and throughout the rest of 2023.
- Step 2 – Donate your used clothing in the specially designed collection bins.
- Step 3 – Receive your 10% savings card to use at participating stores.
