Best of all, it’s affordable: youth age 17 and younger are free, and adults are $7.80 for a daily visit or for an annual pass, just $15.70 until the end of March!
Scheduled Activities (March 16-31)
Guided tours: 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm
Blacksmithing: Noon, 2 pm
Explore the fort
As you explore the site, discover the roots of this 1827 Hudson’s Bay Company fur trade post where British Columbia was proclaimed. Find out how Fort Langley influenced the course of Canada’s history. Climb the rustic bastion towers, and enjoy a peaceful view of the Fraser River
Families can participate in the Parks Canada Xplorers program, packed with fun activities. Pan for gold (when the weather is mild), build the walls of the playhouse and let your imaginations run free in our Children’s Play Area.
Indigenous Cultural Activities
Special guests from Kwantlen First Nation will be leading some cultural programming on weekends. On Saturdays at 11 am, take a native plants tour and on Sundays at noon, enjoy storytelling at the centre fire pit.
Lelem’ at the Fort Café is open and serving all kinds of delicious items, from “Beaver Swagger” pastries, cinnamon buns and espresso drinks to bannock pizza, salmon chowder, elk stew and even fries and poutine! A wide range of specialty beverages as well as adult drinks are available. And just in time for the spring weather, Birchwood Dairy ice cream!
