Enter the fascinating world of Transfer and Landfill Operations and find out where your garbage, food scraps and green waste ends up.

This behind the scenes tour of the Landfill is a family fun adventure you don’t want to miss!

During this free, family-friendly event, you can meet the trained hawks and members of the Bird Control Team, take a guided bus tour of the landfill, and learn about the Landfill’s environmental protection systems.

Kids will love creating crafts from junk, sitting on actual landfill equipment, face painting, free food and refreshments and much more!

The Landfill is not easily accessible by public transit. If you don’t have access to a vehicle, find a friend or family member to carpool with.

Shuttle buses will transport you between the parking and event areas. They are not within walking distance this year due to construction activities.
