New Online Writing and Public Speaking Program for Students in Western Canada

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our acclaimed Writing and Public Speaking Program, now available online for students in Western Canada starting this November. Designed for grades 2-8, this program is crafted to build confidence, enhance communication skills, and nurture creativity. Delivered via the Zoom platform, each session promises an engaging and interactive learning experience.

Grades: 2-3, 4, 5-6, and 7-8
Cost: $1,500
Class Schedule: Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM [PST] Duration: November 20, 2024, to June 25, 2025

At Power of Words Academy, our enrichment program focuses on writing and public speaking for grades 2-8, running from November to June. Classes are 1.5 hours weekly, encompassing two comprehensive units:

• Writing Unit: Students master the structure and thought content of different paragraphs and four types of essays: expository, persuasive, comparative and contrast, and research essays.

• Public Speaking and Debate Unit: Students learn to craft and deliver speeches and develop debate skills.

Additionally, each class includes 20 minutes dedicated to the fundamentals of writing, covering vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure using the Language Power Now workbooks.

A deposit of $100 is required upon registration, with the balance of $1,400 payable in three installments throughout the school year.
