Give us a brief description of your camp.
Steamoji is a maker academy for kids ages 5-14 that trains builders, makers, inventors and entrepreneurs. Engage your child this summer with a week-long camp of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) projects and activities!
2. What makes your summer camp unique?
Technological change is accelerating. Steamoji’s Build to Solve™ program introduces core fabrication and applied design skills that will set apprentices off on a creative journey to become a maker, while building their confidence by taking risks and following the iterative design process that bold innovation requires.
3. What are 2 or 3 highlights of your camp, something the kids will talk about long after camp is over.
Create your own unique invention with 3D printers and laser cutters and build and program a simple robot that can follow coded instructions and react to its environment.
4. What will kids learn at your camp?

Steamoji complements and enriches children’s school studies by exposing them to new technologies in fabrication, physical computing, engineering and digital arts. With these foundational skills, students are then challenged with problems and encouraged to imagine, create and improve their own solutions.

5. What kind of feedback have your received about your camp?
It has been great to see my daughters create and build things with their hands. They sometimes struggle with the abstract nature of school subjects. It’s great to see them engaged with technology and eager to apply their new skills!
