Check out a BC Lions game, they are super kid friendly and kids tickets only $10.

Cheer on the BC Lions!
Looking for in-town summer fun for the fam? Get decked out in your orange and black and head to a BC Lions game with the kids. The Lions have introduced a brand new kid-friendly entrance at Gate C with inflatables and all kinds of friendly fun presented by London Drugs. Tickets are only $10 for 12 and unders and as always, kids are encouraged to cheer (AKA yell and shout) and be excited.
Explore the Britannia Mine Museum
On your way to Whistler? Don’t fly by the Britannia Mine Museum. Stop in! Better still take a day trip. Less than a hundred years ago, the Britannia Mine Museum was the largest copper mine in the British Empire. Today, it’s a National Historic Site and a bustling, award-winning Museum that offers guided underground tours, theatre, historical and interactive exhibits and gold panning that the kids will love.
Ride high at Cultus Lake Adventure Park
Now here’s a good a theme park that might quell the calls for a trip to Disneyland. Across the way from the Cultus Lake Waterpark, this mecca for thrilling rides will have the kids screaming in a good way. Bigger kids can hop on the brand new Cloud Buster or get spinny on the Round Up 360. The littles will love the Carousel, Honey Pot, and Ribbit. Cap off the fun with a soft swirl cone but remember to eat after the rides.
Cool off at Cultus Lake Waterpark
A family outing to BC’s largest water park is well worth the trip. With rides for all sizes and temperaments, this 30-year-old park has something for everyone. The Bazooka Bowls, Rattler, Tubular Terror and Valley of Fear should satisfy the risk-takers! For the little ones, there are plenty of gentle slides from Pirate’s Cove, and new Tots Castle. For the timid, there is the Family Spray Park. And for grownups, there are WIFI and five hot tubs.
Head to Sea to Sky Gondola
Looking for a great summer day trip? Head to the Sea to Sky Gondola for amazing views of Howe Sound, snow capped mountains as well as kid friendly hikes, music and dancing, rock climbing and more!
Take a day trip to the Fort Langley National Historic Site
An easy day trip from the city, Fort Langley National Historic Site is the place where British Columbia was proclaimed a colony in 1858. Step back in time and explore all kinds of interesting activities about Indigenous communities and fur traders who came together in the mid-1800s to trade. Take in a live demonstration with costumed interpreters who demo baking, historic weapons, blacksmithing and more. Feel like staying the night? Get the kids jazzed about music at the VSO School of Music this summer! They are all about kids trying new things, expanding their skills and letting their creativity loose! VSO summer programs give kids of all ages (starting from birth) fun, unique experiences that ignite their interest in music in a no-pressure atmosphere. All programs are housed in the VSO School’s state-of-the-art facility, next to the Orpheum in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
Fly high at the Abbotsford Air Show
Want to wow the kids and maybe even yourself? Pick up a family pass to the famous Abbotsford Air Show August 10-12 and check out the Snowbirds and other snazzy spitfires including the Blue Angels zooming overhead. The event remains one of the best aviation events on earth and in the sky. The MacDonald’s Kids Zone will feature an array of activities including inflatable toys, bouncy castles, a climbing wall, as well as aerospace presentations from Science World. Oh and craft beer!
