Pedalheads offers bike, swim, and trail programs to families across the GVRD. Promoting kids' health and development over the last 30+ years has earned Pedalheads a reputation of excellence and trust in the communities that we serve.
We are also pleased to share that through the hard work and diligence of our staff and the cooperation of all of our campers and parents, our camp safety precautions resulted in zero reported transmissions of the Covid-19 virus at any of our 140 camp and pool locations across 15 cities in Canada and the US in 2020. Visit our website to learn more about what we are doing to keep our camps and lessons safe.
Our learn-to-ride bike program is best known for helping kids ages two through 12 get off training wheels and safely ride on the road. Our program includes:
- a progression of six instructional levels for you to choose from,
- three-hour half-day camps,
- seven-hour all-day camps,
- private lessons, and
- before and after care options.
Kids get lots of time on their bikes learning and playing games, navigating obstacle courses, and challenging themselves with a variety of activities in a safe environment. Kids also take bathroom, snack, and water breaks to ensure they stay hydrated and engaged.
For kids looking for more adventure, but are not quite ready for the road, our trail riding program is a great option!
Our learn-to-swim program for kids ages four months and up is offered in a safe, fun, skills-based learning environment. We offer parent and tot levels, preschool one-hour lessons, small class sizes, and warm-water pools to give your child a better learning experience than they would get in a community rec centre. Using our own proven teaching methods to deliver the Red Cross curriculum, your child will learn the very important life skill of swimming.
