Shake it With Your Baby at Blue Egg Entertainment
Have you got a kid who wants to move, move, move all day long? A budding singer, perhaps? Or a kid who can do a perfect imitation of his sister, his teacher and his best friend?
Maybe your kid loves to do all three, in which case you might have what’s called a “triple threat” on your hands — someone who is proficient in the skills of dancing, singing and acting. In that case, head over to Blue Egg Productions, a Vancouver studio dedicated to training children, teens and young adults in the unique and varied skill set required to be a triple threat.
Blue Egg Productions offers a variety of classes for children, ranging from Parent and Tot classes for the littlest dancers to comprehensive, multidisciplinary training programs for school age kids and teens.
Children’s classes progress from parent participation and an introduction to the experience of dance classes to learning dance fundamentals in a more structured class. In the Parent and Tot class, participants will sing, dance and play through the class together, creating a safe environment through guided instruction, and children are encouraged to explore the class at their own pace. The next class is Moving into Dance for more independent 3-4-year-olds who are ready to participate in the class without their parent present. As they get older, 5 and 6-year-olds are ready for Pre-Ballet and Jazz class, which focuses on learning dance fundamentals, technique and style in a fun environment.
Besides being great fun, learning the skills involved in dance, vocal and drama training are good preparation for a new generation of performers in the entertainment industry. Triple threat performers can be found throughout history, but the recent success of performers such as Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Knowles and the entire cast of Glee demonstrate a recent resurgence in the mainstream popularity of triple threat performers.
