Place des Arts’ Brighten Up! 2016 fest starts tomorrow!
Best way to lighten up during the grey days of winter? Hang out with friends and family and take advantage of fun events and workshops that happen in our communities. Coquitlam’s Place des Arts’ nearly month-long annual winter event, Brighten Up! 2016, starts tomorrow, and it’s well worth the trip from other parts of the Lower Mainland. Each year, PdA invites everyone to get together with their family and friends and join them to “brighten up the dark days of winter”. Along with their ever-popular celebration of light, A Lantern Affair, they also put on a ton of interesting events, performances and workshops that together create Brighten Up! Bonus: many of the events are free or by donation.

A Lantern Affair: Our Family Day for the Holidays
Sunday, December 4, 2016, 1:30 – 3:30pm
Drop by by Carré Heritage Square for PdA’s annual A Lantern Affair celebration. It will be a true multicultural celebration of light, with inspiration taken from four of the main cultural groups that populate Coquitlam: English, Korean, Farsi and Mandarin. Free admission!
