Entirely self taught, designer Zoe Olver of Sleepy Moon Design has created a jewellery line that is sophisticated yet fun, practical yet glamourous. At just 19 years of age (19!!!), Zoe is dedicated to providing affordable handmade designs to people who want practicality and versatility in their wardrobe.

Joye MacPherson is an artist who creates one-of-a-kind stone jewellery. She is a passionate rider of vintage bicycles, mountain bikes, and soon-to-be motorcycles. In the last three years, she has learned how to play drums alongside her bass playing husband, and also performed in the play “Steel Magnolias” – her first-ever theatre production with her daughter. She has discovered that live arts and visual arts are a nice balance in life.

Vancouver jewellery designer Jolie Mack is a mom of twins on a mission to be her own success, determined to be there for the kids but not forget herself while doing it. She’s addicted to Swarovski beads, chandelier earrings, photography and her fat grey cat. Brooke Mosher was one of several VancouverMom.ca readers to nominate Jolie for our 30 Essential Vancouver Jewellery Designers list: “Her designs are gorgeous, lots of sparkling Swarovski crystals in unique designs. Sheila Vandermark is a stay at home mom of 3, who does before and after school daycare during the day and spends her evenings creating her Naturally Unique Jewelry line of one of a kind pieces. Her love of design led her to complete her diploma in Fashion Design & Merchandising from which she created a line of designer hats , and further expressed her creativity thru floral design. Ultimately, she discovered creating jewellery into works of art that appeals to her clientele’s sense of style is her true passion.

Jewellery designer Susie Wickstead of Indigo Star was born and raised in North Vancouver, where she currently lives with her husband and their two children. When she’s not playing with her kids, she can be found designing and creating in her studio.

Through self-taught jewellery explorations and her Jewellery Art and Design studies at Vancouver Community College, designer Jacqui Kerr of Refine Jewellery Design has been fine tuning her jewellery design skills for over 10 years – and is always evolving. Take a peek at who she was a year ago, and you’d see now that everything has changed: “I am a mom now and more inspired than ever before…”
