In 2005, I received two diaper bags as shower gifts from some well-meaning aunts. One coordinated with the green plaid of a particular stroller of a brand that I didn’t even own or intend to buy. The other bore a horrible pattern of sugary cute teddy bears on a pale blue quilted fabric. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about – and I’m sure you’d be equally as horrified as I was.

Back then, there were only a few nice modern diaper bag options for moms (I ended up with a wonderful bag from Skip Hop that’s still in production today). Today, as I browse the baby aisles for my third child, I’m blown away by the lovely and fashionable selection for moms of every different style and fashion sense.

This morning, VancouverMom.ca on Breakfast Television showing the new generation of moms the latest and greatest in diaper bags. While some of these diaper bags are aspirational (read: over-the-top pricey) in their cost, I wanted to give you moms an idea that lugging around a diaper bag doesn’t need to be a chore that brings down your outfit. Lots depends on what you need a double stroller for: you may have twins, in which case a side-by-side stroller is probably the best choice. You might want to accommodate a second child in the future, so a stroller that allows you to add on a second seat is a terrific option. However, an interesting option is the Joovy Caboose family of sit-and-stand strollers.
