Kid-Friendly Vancouver Summer Camps (2014)

1. Vancouver Aquarium

The aquarium’s AquaCamps offer kids a one-of-kind experience. Campers will enjoy hands-on activities, animal observations, crafts and time play outside. The day camps will engage your children in active learning about animals, life cycles, food webs and sustainability. Plus, they’ll have a great time doing it.

2. Pear Tree

This is the third year that Pear Tree in Kitsilano is offering educational Vancouver summer camps. They offer nine weeks of engaging day camps, with three theme-based camps per week. Their maximum class size is 15, and their camps are led by school teachers with classroom assistants. They also offer a healthy hot lunch program.

3. Evergreen Cultural Centrekid-friendly vancouver summer camps

Explore your creativity at Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam. These suburban Vancouver summer camps are taught by professional artists and instructors with years of experience working and teaching in their field. The result is educational, hands-on – and above all – fun programming. This year they’re presenting a host of diverse arts camps for children age seven and up. After care is also available.

4. St. George’s School

Every summer St. George’s school invites the world to attend their premier Vancouver summer camps. Located on the West Side, the program creates safe, fun and enriching summer camp experience for boys and girls aged four and up. You can enroll your child in their week-long day camps. Or, if you’re looking for a more immersive experience, they also offer full service residential programs.

5. VSO School of Music

From kids who want to explore the world of music to out of practice parents who want to tune up their skills, the VSO School of Music has a host of activities and programs for all levels. Their half-day camps start at age three and go up from there, so they have options for your preschooler. Registration is now open and filling up quickly!
