The land of fabric, buttons, zippers, ribbons, and a million other things. If you’re thinking to embellish a costume, or add a cape, or feathers – this is your place. Pottery Barn Kids

There’s a small but beautifully made collection of costumes available through Pottery Barn Kids. Super cute baby costumes (elephant, anyone?), all the way up to bigger kid tulle-covered princesses, non-specific super heroes, and a killer triceratops. Call ahead to see what they have in store.

Just Imagine…

From superheroes to tutus, and nearly everything in between, this local shop has been supplying costumes to kids in Vancouver for over 27 years. Their Mount Pleasant Warehouse shop has both adult and kid costumes, as well as lots of space to try on. Granville Island has lots of kids costumes. These are lovely good quality ones too, so they’ll transition nicely to the dress-up box once Halloween is over.

If you’ve got a little person absolutely set on being a Jedi, or Harry Potter, or Elsa, this is where to go. They have every character in several sizes, as well as an impressive array of matching accessories. You can outfit your entire family, as well as the dog, and then move on to decorating your house as well.

Pop-up shops

Every year, a few seasonal pop-up Halloween shops appear. Spirit, one of the regulars, has an impressive selection of Disney Jr costumes. Think Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Sophia the First, and Doc McStuffins. Halloween Alley has a similar selection of children’s and adults costumes, as well as pet costumes and accessories.

Just Imagine on West Broadway in Kitsilano closed awhile ago now. They do have a warehouse in the Mount Pleasant area that you can shop at for Halloween costumes.
