The annual event welcomes over 300 Canadian artisans from coast-to-coast, selling high-quality goods they made themselves. You’ll find everything from soap to glassware to clothing to food (and even wine and craft beer) and a whole lot more. It’s all happening from November 8-12 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

Remembrance Day

Lest we forget, November 11th is a stat holiday and a day to remember those who fought for peace. Head to one of the many Remembrance Day events around Vancouver with the kids for marches, pageantry and words of honour.

Talk about local! The East Van Cultural Crawl is another amazing place to pick up unique hand-made gifts or just take part in an unforgettable community event that showcases hundreds or tiny galleries, artist studios and garages on Vancouver’s East Side. And while yes it does get busy, kids will love the social nature of the crawl and the live demos in pottery, live chainsaw carving and glassblowing.

Cirque’s bigtop is back in False Creek, which means it’s showtime! The latest flight of fancy, Kurios, Cabinet of Curiosities, has been called dazzling, joyous and enthralling. One thing’s for sure: there will be acrobatics, highwire acts and fantastical escapades. Tickets aren’t cheap, but a Cirque show is something everyone should witness. Children (wait until they’re old enough to go the distance) will be astounded.
