Bilingual children’s entertainer Will Stroet is part of UBC Alumni Weekend happening on May 25, 2013. This kid-friendly Vancouver event includes entertainment, sports camps, and a whole lot of family fun. If you’re wondering what to do in Vancouver the last weekend in May, it’s a great choice. Plus, if you’re a UBC alum and you register in advance, you can even get free admission to the Museum of Anthropology and the Beatty Biodiversity Museum, among other things.
Tweet with Will – It’s What to do in Vancouver
Unfortunately, Will Stroet’s concert is sold out – free, kid-friendly Vancouver concerts have a way of doing that. However, there’s still a chance to get in on the fun with Will’s Tweet-Up. Tweet about Will’s music or DVDs between 8:30 and 11:30am on May 25, 2013, and use the hashtags #willsjams and #ubcalumniwknd. You can win some fabulous prizes, such as copies of Will’s CDs and DVDs, UBC Alumni swag, Kidsbooks gift certificates, Used Vancouver water bottles, and more. And even if you can’t see Will, there’s plenty happening at UBC, so heading out to the campus is worth adding to your list of what to do in Vancouver.
Kid-Friendly Vancouver Entertainer Turned TV Star
Will Stroet is also celebrating the launch of his fun and educational videos, Will’s Jams, on Kids’ CBC. Starting on May 20, 2013, the videos will air weekday mornings at 8:25am on Canada’s national broadcaster. Through the videos, Will inspires kids to be healthy, safe and active. Plus, the tunes are just plain catchy, even for moms.
Kim Wilson, head of children’s programming for Kids’ CBC, says, “We’re very excited to be adding Will’s Jams to our preschool programming. Will is a talented Canadian children’s entertainer who has a genuine connection with kids and sings fun, infectious and educational songs for the whole family.”
Will shares, “Ever since I started writing children’s music, I’ve dreamt of being on Kids’ CBC. CBC has such an amazing history of quality children’s programming that I grew up watching. I’m so excited that I can follow in the footsteps of so many of the other great Canadian children’s TV personalities.”
We’re really lucky to have some great kid-friendly Vancouver children’s entertainers. Will Stroet is definitely one of the standouts. To find out more about Will’s Jams and the upcoming concert, check out the video we’re sharing, in which Will serenades Vancouver moms.
