For Moms Who Mean Business: Mom CEO Academy

Vancouver Mom July 15, 2011 1

Felicia Lee, Ghost CEO coach and chapter leader of Enterprising Mom Network Vancouver, has launched Mom CEO Academy, a 10-week program that offers business training geared specifically towards women entrepreneurs with children, and the unique dynamics of being both a mom and a business owner. We had a chance to meet with her at Robson Square (which explains the sound of water in the background!), where she told us all about this new venture.

Developed for parents by parents, Mom CEO Academy is the first entrepreneurial training program that delivers business training for moms-on-the-go. Moms need business-building strategies that can be implemented during nap times, play dates, and after bedtime. Bringing together an A-List group of professionals (including VancouverMom.ca‘s Christine Pilkington), this program covers everything from mindset and strategy through to dealing with legal issues, proper financial management, leveraging contractors and technology, marketing and selling your offering, and expansion down the road. Only one applicant is accepted per sector per program, so students leave with a bullet-proof network of other moms to start building business with. It’s a great opportunity for women entrepreneurs.

The first class of Mom CEO starts September 2011.
