Are you still looking for something fun for your kids to do this summer? If so, here are a couple of day camps happening in the Vancouver area. And if neither of these fit the bill, check out our Top 20 Summer Camps Part 1, 2, 3 and 4.
W2 Creative Technology Summer Camp
W2 presents the W2 Creative Technology Summer Camps for children and teens ages 9-13 and 14-18, led by established artists, musicians and designers at Vancouver’s historic Woodward’s complex. This year W2 is offering three camps, each with its own unique programming stream: digital media, traditional media, and DJ camp. The camp’s primary focus is to engage children and youth by providing a fun way for them to participate in artistic practice.
W2 camps are priced to encourage families in the inner-city to be involved. Camps run Monday to Friday, from 9:30am – 5:00pm with a healthy lunch served daily. No experience is necessary, we cater to any young people who show an interest in learning.
For more information see the W2 Creative Technology Summer Camp website.
Fashion Day Camp
Designer Kim Krempien presents a week-long fashion camp for children ages 6-12 from August 2 – 5 at Wineberry Fabrics (on 152 and 64th in Surrey), from 2:30 to 5:00pm daily. Campers are encouraged to enter the exciting and creative world of fashion, through sewing workshops, classes in fashion history and colour theory, and other fun activities that bring out each child’s inner fashion designer.
Each student will have the chance to create their own masterpiece, from conception to final product. The students will also engage in various projects each day, with the goal of providing lasting take-away knowledge of fashion.
The cost is $80.00. For more information, or to register, contact Kim Krempien at [email protected], or 778.875.1267.
