Active Baby Backpack Carrier Clinic
30 Mar 2010, written by Roanne Weyermars 1 CommentsBackpack carriers can be a comfortable and safe way for you and your children to enjoy the outdoors but they can also be intimidating. Many parents have questions like: How do I use one? What model is best for me and my partner? Why is a backpack carrier really needed? In response, Active Baby has decided to hold a clinic for the parents that want to get more involved with the outdoors and who need some pointers.
The clinic will focus on:
- Why use a framed child carrier
- What to look for in a carrier
- Comparison between different brands
- How to fit for parents and child
- Outdoor safety precautions and tips
The clinic will be hands on, so you can get to know the backpacks inside and out and decide which one is right for you. All seminar particpants will have a chance to win a Deutor backpack carrier (valued at $229.99).
When: 7-8pm, April 8, 2010
Where: Active Baby store, Capilano mall
More info: Seating is limited so Active Baby encourages you to book your seats by calling 604-986-8977 or email info@activebaby.ca.

I suppose this is why they regularly schedule workshops to educate customers about being outdoors with young children. In the January, they held a popular snowshoeing workshop and last week, they hosted a backpack carrier clinic. [...]
