This New Year’s Eve, venture down to Gastown’s Nicli’s Next Door for an Italian inspired evening that promises to end 2014 on a high note! In true Italian fashion, the tapas-style tasting menu will showcase Chef Keev Mah’s divers culinary creativity. Seatings for New Year’s Eve are offered at 7:00pm and 9:00pm, allowing for an early celebration or late night affair.

Wildebeest
Wildebeest invites you to spend New Year’s Eve enjoying a five-course menu prepared exclusively for the occasion. With options ranging from some of Wildebeest’s most popular dishes to one-night-only features, Chef Wesley Young’s comforting creations are sure to send you into the New Year with a happy heart and a full belly. The restaurant will be offering seatings throughout the evening, giving guests the option of dining early or late, and will be staying open until 1am for those wishing to ring in 2015 with a toast!

Maenam
Savour 2014 to its delicious end with Chef Angus An’s celebratory menu, available at Maenam only on New Year’s Eve. An excellent value at $60 per person, the family-style Chef’s Menu is ideal for sharing. Guests select from options for each of four courses, featuring fresh local seafood, savoury soups and curries, bright fruits and vegetables, and refreshingly light Thai desserts. For an additional fee and an enhanced dining experience, guests are encouraged to indulge in wine pairings to perfectly complement their dishes of choice. Blacktail
This year, Blacktail is offering the unicorn of all New Year’s Eve celebrations: a no-nonsense evening. Surround yourselves with likeminded revellers, and enjoy an evening designed to be carefree and uncomplicated. The night will feature everyday seating and menu service, with the addition of special cocktail features and the option of a seven-course tasting menu designed by Executive Chef Geoff Rogers. The tasting menu will cost $100 per person including tax, gratuity, and a glass of champagne to ring in the new year. No tickets necessary, but reservations are strongly encouraged. The lounge will be open until 2am, giving guests a chance to ring in the New Year without stress or haste.

Another fuss-free option for lovers looking for a low-pressure outing, Gastown’s Pidgin invites you to dress up, dress down, do or don’t call ahead; the evening promises to be as uncomplicated as you’d like it to be! The evening will feature Pidgin’s innovative everyday menu, with the additions of special features and set menu options that are sure to satisfy your every celebratory whim. No tickets needed, and, though they are encouraged, no reservations are necessary. As seating will be limited, guests without reservations will be welcomed on a first-come-first-served basis.

For those looking for glamour this New Year’s, West Oak offers an evening of unforgettable food, cocktails, and company. The evening boasts two dining options to cater to partygoers and early diners alike. For those looking for an elevated dining experience before painting the town red, a 6pm a la carte menu will be available. Those who would prefer to usher in the New Year with friends and family at West Oak are invited to a second seating at 9pm featuring a special five-course menu, designed thoughtfully by Executive Chef Tim Cuff C.C.C. to carry you through well past midnight. Nicli Antica Pizzeria
This New Year’s Eve, Nicli Antica Pizzeria invites guests to experience a night of Italian flair and flavours. With true Italian passion, Chef David Tozer has designed an exclusive five-course tasting menu to dazzle the heart and the taste buds. The menu features beefed-up versions of Nicli favorites, as well as items to be featured for one night only. To round out the meal, and to ring in the New Year, a complimentary bubble cocktail will serve as both an aperativo and a chance to raise a glass one final time to 2014.
