When MacGillycuddy’s opened over 30 years ago, it started as a little neighbourhood kids consignment shop on the West Side of Vancouver. Local moms saw our shop and popped in when they were walking by with their kids. Well pretty soon word started to spread – in fact all of our growth came from word of mouth.  Who would have thought that we would have grown to become Vancouver’s favourite (and busiest) kids consignment store! So how did MacGillycuddy’s become so popular?
We adore cute kids clothes
The secret to success for anyone in business is to follow their passion. And great kids clothes gets us excited everyday. We specialize in the best brands and the latest styles. One of the things that we are especially well known for are the French clothing lines that we carry.  And the best part of our shop is that new stock comes in everyday.

We provide great value
One of the best parts about working here is seeing the look of our customers’ faces when they realize just how little they are paying.  Prices are typically about a third of retail.

It is so convenient to shop here
Loads of free parking.  Great local favourites for a treat like Butter Bake Shop and Bigsby the Bakehouse.  And kids love our play corner – in fact they tell us its one of their favourites.

Our staff like working here and it shows
Sometimes we forget it’s a job.  Swapping stories with our customers and seeing their kids grow before our eyes brings us great joy.  We are proud to be so connected to our community.

We’ve got what you need
From snowsuits to swimsuits, from rain boots to tap shoes, from Muddy Buddies to party dresses – we carry it all.  We have clothing, footwear, books, and toys for babies and kids up size 12.

The Springfree Trampoline was designed by New Zealand engineer, Dr. Keith Alexander, at the University of Canterbury.  The father of three decided a trampoline would be a good addition to the family’s backyard. However, after researching spring-based trampolines, it became apparent that spring designs were dangerously flawed.

He was shocked to discover the high frequency of children being treated for trampoline related injuries, yet it seemed no manufacturers seriously considered the safety of their products. Dr. Alexander looked at what was causing trampoline injuries, then engineered out the impact zones responsible.  He replaced springs with rods and developed a strong safety net that prevents falls and stands up to all kinds of weather. He replaced the hard steel poles with flexible net rods and moved the frame beneath the jumping surface making it impossible to fall on.

After more than 20 years of injury prevention research, the design was commercialized in 2003 and is now sold in more than 15 countries. The Springfree patented design has not only changed the way trampolines work but eliminates the impact areas that cause 90% of all product-related trampolines injuries. Some of the features that make Springfree the safest are:

Mat rods — Springfree uses flexible rods to give a soft, non-jarring bounce. The rods lie beneath the jumping surface out of harm’s way.
The SoftEdge™— Springfree has a soft edge, which is over 30 times more shock absorbent than safety pads of a traditional trampoline.
Hidden frame — Springfree Trampoline’s frame is well beneath the jumping surface so you can’t hit it.
The FlexiNet™ safety enclosure — the patented Springfree Trampoline FlexiNet™ enclosure has flexible supports to cushion jumpers and prevent falls. The jumper is directed back to the centre and cannot make contact with the net rods. The net is also zippered to ensure jumpers cannot fall through the opening.

Springfree is the innovator in trampolines. Every component has been rigorously tested and made with the highest quality materials so you get the same enjoyment, year after year. With no springs, no hard edges, the frame beneath the jumping surface and a safety net that prevents falls, you can relax knowing it’s the world’s safest trampoline.
