Lovin’ Lovey’s Tushi Wash

Since having my son I’ve become even more aware of minimizing my impact on the enviroment. Once we arrived home from the hospital I soon realized that using diaper wipes was unnecessary – a simple wash cloth and warm water worked just fine. So when I first heard about Lovey’s Tushi Wash, a natural alternative to diaper wipes, I wasn’t sure if the product was something I would use or really needed. But boy was I surprised when after just one spray of Lovey’s I was hooked!

Each piece of Bella-Bijou jewellery has a story behind it on how it came to be. That story is often the inspiration which brought the design to the forefront of designer and metalsmith, Jaime Pickering’s mind. What we think is neat is that Jaime intends each story to be a means to connect the jewellery piece to its new owner. Jaime tells us that her designs come to her in dreams! She plans them out backwards – thinking of the finished product first, then the steps to take to create her vision.

I was surprised to learn that Vancouver has been home to the one most decorated and diverse dance institute’s in the country since the late 1970’s, Goh Ballet Academy. Established by National Ballet of China’s Choo Chiat and Lin Yee Goh, the academy was created to pursue technical and artistic excellence – both customary traits of ballet dance. What makes Goh Ballet unique is their dedication to raising cultural awareness in the dance community and around Vancouver. This June, Goh Ballet’s Junior School will perform the family friendly production, Once Upon a Fairy Tale: Dances that Live in Your Imagination, which includes little Miss Muffet, Jack and Jill and other nursery rhyme favourites.
